Stony Brook Shelter (AT Mi: 1692.1)

(Daily Mi: 9.0) Nice gourmet, New England breakfast with real maple syrup followed by an ugly little walk. Not supposed to be anything big between here and Hanover, but these little hills are steep and frequent. I am a little extra dehydrated by the Guiness from last night -- and filled to the gills with pancakes.

Woodman got a little tired of waiting and motored ahead to the shelter. I am winded throughout the hike -- it is also damned hot. Still I manage to hammer in about fifteen minutes behind him. Spend the night with Woodman, Choo Choo, Stout and a Southbounder named Southpaw.
