(Daily Mi: 14.6) Redemptive hike with the Woodman into Hanover today. We hiked the first part of the morning with Choo Choo -- she left about 1/2 hour up on us.

Found some thoughtful, appreciate, but semi-warm trail magic soda in a stream about six miles in.

Waited for Choo Choo at the 7 miles shelter and then motored the last 7.5 miles close to non-stop, making it to Hanover by noon.

Woodman dove off the Dartmouth docks when we hit town. People waved from cars as we walked up the main drag. We ate free quarts of Ben and Jerry's New York Fudge Crunch and found Stout and an older thru hiker named the Mountain Man on the central commons. Stout said he had seen Choo Choo sipping lemonade a few miles back. We watched pretty, showered people for a bit and then Woodman moved on to go shop and head out of town.

My sister picked me up from the central commons at Dartmouth and took me to her house about an hour and half east. Shower. Laundry. Big dinner with friends. A old school White Mountains enthusiast gets me revved up for the Presidentials.

Not sure if I will catch the Woodman again. He is determined to keep moving and get home to Indiana. But we will see.
