(Daily Mi: 0.0) Full on zero day. Had breakfast at the Pie Lady's this morning with Crusader and a couple of other college aged NoBos. Spent most of the day shopping for food, eating junk food and cutting my pack for the wilderness.

Put anything I haven't used more than twice since Gorham into a box to be mailed home. Managed to get back under 25 lbs. but seriously wish I had my summer bag as the temperatures are still in the 90s.

I am packing a solid 5 days worth of food for the 100 Mile Wilderness which begins immediately north of Monson. We plan to cross the Wilderness in six days -- stopping on the 4th night at White House Landing, a wilderness camp, bunkhouse sited on a lake about 60 miles into the Wilderness.

If we don't make it to the landing -- which is possible -- I will be light on food the 5th day and completely out the 6th. I'll survive, but it will be less than pleasant.

Hung out at the Pie Lady's with the Monkies for a bit. Heard that Chile was in town over at Shaw's, and Crusader and I stop by for a visit in the late afternoon.

Had dinner at a funky little restaurant with Crusader, Chile, Mountain Man and Bucky (an older thru hiker out of NC waling with a broken foot since the White Mountains)<br />
