(Daily Mi: 14.3) Shook ice from both sides of my tarp this morning. Good news was that the cold temperatures sent the ticks dormant for the night. Packed up and headed a 1/4 mile back into to town for breakfast and my drop box. Went to the PO first and carried my box across the street to the ATC office. It was exceptionally heavy (10 days worth of food) and I immediately distributed about half its contents to other hikers as I would be able to re-up my supplies as soon as Duncannon. We had a pack weigh off at the ATC offices. Everyone was really pissed when my pack came in at 24 lbs (next lightest was 38 lbs). Nice hike across rolling meadows out of town. Steep climb at the end. Had a fire at the shelter. Radio predicting 31° for Harrisburg, PA some 1800 feet below us tonight.
