Guadalupe Mountains National Park

I took the shots below of the Guadalupe Mountains from Texas-NM 62/180 on October 23, 2001 while driving between Carlsbad, NM and El Paso, TX in a belated effort to document my "ascent" of Guadalupe Peak in September.

Except for the trailhead, I couldn't get good shots of the exact route I hiked in September (without doing some actual hiking)

However, these pictures give a feel for the environment and include reverse angles of the views from Guadalupe Peak (from White City, NM and Salt Flats, TX). Guadalupe Peak itself is visible as the hight-point in a shot of the ridgeline taken from Salt Flats, TX.
